& Chief Executive Officer
Joe joined TAB in 2002, and as CEO has driven the timely and relevant enhancements of the new TAB Out of Home Ratings system. This system delivers a more strategic and practical way to use out of home metrics, as it now captures audiences who actually see an advertising message. He was the steward and strategic force behind this initiative, resulting in TAB Out of Home Ratings becoming the official currency for out of home measurement.
Joe brings extensive analytical and leadership experience to TAB, having held executive positions at Arbitron, CMR, Nielsen and AGB Television Research. Additionally, he served as SVP of Worldwide Media Research at Y&R. In this position Joe was involved in both media and brand equity initiatives.
He was given the Advertising Research Foundation's 2009 Gold Great Mind Award for innovation in research behind the TAB Out of Home Ratings system. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences and symposia.
Joe has a Ph.D. in Media Communications from Bowling Green University. He began his career in academia, having taught at both Miami University and University of Maryland.

Larry Hennessy
Senior Vice President - Member Services
Larry is TAB's link of continuity, having spent his career at the organization. As head of member services and audit policy, he manages all policy related initiatives and member recruitment while serving as the primary liaison with all levels of member organizations. Additionally, he manages all TAB Out of Home Ratings education and training, as well as the semi-annual OOH Conference & Marketing Expo.
Larry has a Bachelor of Science from Baruch College of the City University of New York.

Jeff Casper
Senior Vice President - Measurement & Operations
Jeff helped create and enhance the TAB Out of Home Ratings system, and manages ongoing audits and research for TAB. He is currently expanding the ratings system's capabilities and relevance to measure other out of home formats including transit advertising.
Prior to joining TAB, Jeff was a Vice President of Media Strategy & Research at WPP agencies Y&R and J. Walter Thompson. He has also taught marketing and media planning at Pace University and Fordham University. On the client side, he spent time as a brand manager at Andersen Windows.
Jeff has a Masters of Advertising degree from Michigan State University.

Sean McCarthy
Senior Vice President - Information Technology
Sean manages all aspects of TAB's information technology, which includes the maintenance and production of TAB Out of Home Ratings databases. He also developed software that produces the general media planning database, and is currently in the development process for a software that will calculate bus route exposures as part of the evolving transit initiative.
Prior to joining TAB, Sean was VP of Product Development at Sandbox Exchange, working on magazine planning applications. On the agency side, he worked in Media Research at SSC&B/Lintas.
Sean received his BA in Management from Gettysburg College.

Shawn Ballard
Vice President - Finance
Shawn is TAB's financial gatekeeper. Before coming to TAB, he worked in financial
management at Sony Music and New York Life.
Shawn has a Bachelor of Science from New York University.

Dylan Mabin
Vice President - Research
Dylan leads TAB's market analysis initiatives. He has managed the internalization of core circulation and practices, and has developed procedures improving the precision of spatial data vital to TAB Out of Home Ratings. He is currently broadening TAB's ability to incorporate emerging out of home platforms into the audience measurement model.
Formerly, Dylan was Vice President of a Virginia Geographic Service entity, providing custom GIS solutions to various industries, and has consulted for National Cable Communications and CNN.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Virginia.

Ian Knight
Vice President - Member Communications
Ian helped lead the charge to bring the TAB audit onto its current online platform, developing the audit process to reflect inventory landscape changes in TAB Out of Home Ratings. Presently, Ian is responsible for coordinating all communications to members and third party suppliers.
Prior to joining TAB, Ian organized and maintained inventory for several retail franchises and the Museum of Natural history. He has a BA in Urban Studies from Vassar College.

Ian Smith
Circulation Manager
Ian manages the team within TAB that gathers and processes roadway traffic counts, the foundation of the new ratings system's metrics. Prior to TAB, he worked in the aviation industry focusing on logistics, planning, and operations for a corporate air carrier and flight school.
Ian has an MS in Information Systems Management from Marist College, and a BA in Geography from Binghamton University.

Brian Ryu
Senior Geo-Analyst
A true media guy from day one, Brian began his career at the Press & Sun Bulletin in Binghamton, New York. From there he segued into the role of advertising research coordinator the Morning Call in Allentown, one of Audit Bureau of Circulation's top 100 newspapers.
Brian joined TAB in 2008 and is currently a geo-analyst responsible for inventory and circulation in the Western US. Brian also manages the processing of ratings appeals submitted by TAB member companies. He earned a BS in Economics and Geography at Binghamton University and is currently working on his Master's at Montclair State.

Betsy Hudson
Geo-Analyst
Hailing from Virginia, Betsy joined the TAB team in January 2012, where she handles inventory and circulation in the North Central US. She comes to us from the George Washington Regional Commission, where she worked as a sustainability planner. Additionally, Betsy spent a summer as a Research Fellow for Students Helping Honduras in El Progreso, Honduras.
Betsy has a BA in Geography from the University of Mary Washington

Kevin Romero
Geo-Analyst
Kevin joined TAB in October 2012. As a geo-analyst, Kevin handles inventory and circulation in the Northeast US. Previously, he interned at the Civic Engagement and Service Education Partnerships program at Rutgers, developing a suitability map to identify areas of New Brunswick, New Jersey that were in need of soup kitchens and food pantries. Kevin has a BA in Geography and a minor in Meteorology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.

Nick Guercio
Marketing Specialist
Nick joined TAB in 2010. His primary responsibility has been managing educational collateral systems for both TAB Out of Home Ratings and member recruitment, training, communication and support.
He also spent four years at Lamar Advertising, learning the out of home business in their marketing department. Nick holds a BA from Louisiana State University.

Velvet A. Ross
Office Administrator
Velvet provides day-to-day operational support for TAB's multifunctional executive
team. Reporting to the CEO and VP of Membership Services, she is also charged with
managing the TAB office data management system and events coordination.
Velvet has a BA in Television & Radio from Brooklyn College.

Kevin Narine
Network Engineer
As our lead network expert, Kevin manages the day-to-day operations of the LAN, WAN, Firewall and email systems. Prior to joining TAB, he worked in network systems at McCann-Ericson's New York office.
Kevin holds a degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University.

Lauren Zacharczyk
Geo-Analyst
Lauren joined the TAB team in September 2012. As the geo-analyst for the Southeastern US, Lauren works with our members to provide accurate impressions and ratings for their inventory. She previously worked as an intern for the Genesee Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council in Rochester, New York. Lauren has a BA in Geography from SUNY Geneseo and is currently working on her GIS certificate from Pennsylvania State University.

Brian Francis
Data Analyst
As TAB's Data Analyst, Brian is responsible for importing, cleaning, transforming, and validating the data collected from members. He is currently programming automated processes that will increase TAB's technological capacity, which will help customers turn data into actionable information more efficiently.
Brian is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society. He holds an MS in Computer Science from Long Island University, where he graduated with distinction.
